Suzuki Tops the Charts in What Car? Reliability Survey

Suzuki is thrilled to announce its outstanding performance in the 2023 What Car? Reliability Survey. With over 25,000 readers participating and sharing their car ownership experiences, Suzuki has proudly emerged as the winner, securing the top ranking among 30 car brands, with an impressive score of 94.7%.

The survey asked owners of cars between 6 and 20 years old to report any faults their vehicles had experienced over the past two years, along with the duration and cost of the repairs. Suzuki owners showcased unwavering satisfaction, as only 6% reported any faults, demonstrating the exceptional reliability of Suzuki cars.

  • Vitara and Swift - Suzuki's Reliability Stars

In addition to Suzuki's overall success, two models stood out by securing coveted positions in the top 10 most reliable models. The Vitara (2015 - present) claimed the second spot in the small SUV category, earning an impressive reliability score of 99.3%. With a minimal 6% of owners reporting faults, it's evident that the Vitara delivers unmatched dependability. Notably, all reported faults were rectified promptly on the same day, ensuring a seamless driving experience for Suzuki owners.

Following closely behind, the Swift model (2010-2017) achieved an impressive reliability score of 98.1%, solidifying its reputation as a trustworthy and long-lasting vehicle. Claire Evans, Consumer Editor of What Car?, praises the Swift for its excellent driving dynamics, spaciousness and high safety ratings. Like other Suzuki models, the Swift has proven to be incredibly reliable over time, with only 6% of surveyed owners reporting faults, primarily limited to battery-related issues. Notably, all affected vehicles remained drivable, and half of the repairs were efficiently completed within a day, with no repair costs exceeding £100.

  • Suzuki Service Activated Warranty

To provide even greater peace of mind to Suzuki owners, the brand introduced its Service Activated Warranty on April 3rd 2023. This exclusive warranty extends coverage once the manufacturer warranty period expires and the vehicle undergoes its scheduled authorised service at a Suzuki Dealer. The Service Activated Warranty remains in effect until the subsequent qualifying service, allowing owners to enjoy worry-free driving for up to a maximum car age of 7 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
